If you want to have a unique, different, and off the beaten path experience in Bangkok then this tour is probably what you are looking for. This is foodie heaven! Here we are going to take a walk with our local guide through the streets of Bangrak (which literally translates as 'the Village of Love': it's hardly a village any more and not really that loveable!), and discover some of the local food stalls and shops which are often hidden away and known mostly only to knowledgeable locals. We will be sampling puff pies from a street cart, traditional Thai style tea and coffee from a rehabilitated mini-van, green curry from a restaurant run by descendants of the Royal Family, learning about seasonal fruit, herbal drinks in a 80 year old shop house, traditional Thai desserts... and more besides!
We gather at Saphan Thaksin BTS Skytrain station at 10 am prompt. Our group will be maximum 10 people, and both adults and children are welcome. We suggest loose casual tropical clothing (shorts, light shirts) with comfortable walking shoes, and a hat and sunscreen are a good idea. The walk takes place in all weathers! So bring an umbrella along in the rainy seasons months; if it happens to rain we always seem to have even more fun on the tour!
Try not to have too big a breakfast before you join us on the tour and leave plenty of room for the tasty treats you will be discovering!
